About Us

Vanessa Fox’s journey towards a love of equine nutrition started with working as a park ranger in South Africa; taking clients on guided horseback safaris, and delivering educational programs.

It also involved learning how to manage the unique the nutritional requirements of herbivores and carnivores, and how to manage their unique feeding. After some time, she moved to the States, studied Environmental Management and Environmental Health, and started ranching with her husband and young daughter. At Fox Farms, Vanessa has four horses, ranging in size from Pony to Percheron, each with their own unique nutritional challenges that she realized would be best served through a dedicated, science-based approach. She studied under Dr. Rachel Mottet, MS, PhD, Equine Nutritionist, and is a certified Legacy Equine Nutrition Advisor. Vanessa is passionate about equine nutrition and nutrition education, and would love to work with you to help your horse achieve its nutritional potential.
